Lancon Junior Football Club was founded in August 1995, with the aim to provide football for young people in the area and to try and divert them away from anti-social behaviour and to provide quality training in a safe environment where young people can develop to the best of their ability.

Lancon was established in partnership the Lancashire Constabulary, a relationship which we are all rightly proud and which has grown ever stronger over the years.

The Club’s home games are played at the excellent facilities at Police Headquarters in Hutton, near Preston, and we are grateful for the continued support of Constabulary.

Beyond the use of the Police HQ facilities, the links with the police are many – our President is Deputy Chief Constable Chris Weigh; other Chief Officers take an active interest in the progress of the Club; members of the Committee and many coaches and parents, guardians and friends are serving officers and staff from across Lancashire Constabulary.

The Club is also proud that we have the honour of having Mark Lawrenson as our Honorary President.

As for the future, having attained FA Charter Standard, we continue to look for opportunities to improve and provide the best opportunities for youngsters, ensuring that we are accessible and affordable (we pride ourselves on keeping costs to a minimum). We are now able to provide coaching for children from 5 to 16 and if you wish your son or daughter to get involved, please contact our secretary or any of the managers / committee members.

As you are probably aware, at Lancon we hold a Signing On Night. This makes the process of getting everyone registered much smoother and works very well.

This year the Signing on Night is on Monday 9th July, and takes place at Police Headquarters. It is done in 2 sittings, the Mini Soccer age groups which is Age Groups Developement to Under 10's, is 6-7pm. Then the Under 11 to Under 16 is from 7-8pm. The evening is very straight forward and should only take about 10mins.

This year the Central Lancs have introduced Electronic Registration Forms, these are for Age Groups U11-U16. If your child is playing for a team in these age groups then Please Download the CLJFL Form. If you child is Under10 or below please download the MLCJFL Form. Both forms are very easy to complete, The boxes that require information are highlighted and you just type directly into them. The CLJFL form is in duplicate but the information carries through to the duplication.

The software requirred to complete the forms is Adobe Reader, which is free and can be downloaded from www.adobe.com but I would imagine most of you will have this on your PC's.

Once completed please print them off, CLJFL will have 3 pages, and MLCJFL will have 1. They need signing in the relevant areas, and bringing with you to Signing On Night.

At the evenign, each child will have a photograph taken, then you go through to your manager, go through your form, and Pay the signing on fee, and thats it ALL SORTED..
